FanDuel Special Olympics partnership expands in 2026 with Polar Plunge events and community initiatives promoting inclusivity and healthcare awareness.

FanDuel has announced an expanded FanDuel Special Olympics partnership for 2026, reinforcing its commitment to community impact and inclusive sports. The collaboration will support Polar Plunge fundraising events across Maryland, Minnesota, and Illinois while raising awareness for athletes with disabilities.
The partnership centers on promoting healthcare equity and social connection through sports. FanDuel Canada General Manager Dale Hooper brings a personal connection to the initiative—his daughter has competed in Special Olympics swimming and rhythmic gymnastics since age six. “The Special Olympic athletes are just different because their love of the sport and what they’re doing is what shines,” Hooper noted.
Keita Young, FanDuel’s VP of Advocacy and Public Policy, emphasized the strategic vision behind the FanDuel Special Olympics alliance: “We believe sports have the power to drive positive impact by promoting physical wellness, teamwork, social connection, and community pride.”
The gaming operator is evolving toward community-based impact strategies that prioritize local investment. Beyond the Polar Plunge events, FanDuel will champion healthcare awareness for people with disabilities—addressing disparities that often go unrecognized.
This partnership represents a growing trend among iGaming operators to align corporate social responsibility with core business values, demonstrating that betting platforms can drive meaningful societal change.
