Kambi Group has entered into a strategic partnership with newly established Finnish sportsbook SuomiVeto, positioning both companies to capitalize on Finland upcoming regulated gambling market. The deal will see Kambi deliver its full turnkey sportsbook solution to the newcomer operator.
SuomiVeto was founded in 2025 during the deliberations around Finland new Gambling Act, which received parliamentary approval in December 2025 and presidential assent in January 2026. The Finnish market is expected to become a significant opportunity for operators, having previously peaked at €1.8 billion under the state monopoly before many customers moved to offshore alternatives.
The partnership represents Kambi first dedicated move into Finland forthcoming multi-licence market, which is scheduled to open in July 2027. Companies can begin applying for B2C licences from March 2026, with B2B licences following approximately one year after market launch.
Melvin Bostelaar, co-founder of SuomiVeto, expressed confidence in the partnership: “When selecting a partner, we wanted to work with a true market leader — and that is exactly what we have with Kambi. Their technology, expertise and operational excellence were instrumental to BetCity rapid growth, and we believe the same formula will set SuomiVeto up for success”.
Werner Becher, Kambi Group CEO, added: “We are delighted to partner with SuomiVeto ahead of the launch of Finland regulated market. Their team has already demonstrated their ability to build a market-leading brand, and we look forward to helping them replicate that success in Finland”.
Kambi already maintains a presence in Finland through its partnership with PAF, the state-backed operator for the autonomous Åland Islands region, which was renewed in November 2025.
