Complex has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Markets to launch Complex Bets, a new platform designed to merge sports, pop culture, and real-time wagering into a single, immersive experience. The collaboration aims to redefine how fans engage with betting by blending storytelling, data, and interactive content.
The new vertical, Complex Bets, leverages Fanatics‘s expertise in sports betting odds, data, and market insights to create original programming and interactive features. This move marks a significant evolution for Complex, which began as a streetwear and hip-hop culture magazine in 2002 but has since expanded into a digital powerhouse covering rap, sneakers, sports, and pop culture with a strong youth focus.
Fanatics will provide the backbone of betting data, while Complex will deliver its signature cultural storytelling. The platform will feature a weekly YouTube series hosted by West Wilson, breaking down major sports betting conversations. Additionally, Complex on the Scene with Julia ‘Juju’ Adams will offer behind-the-scenes access to stadiums, draft floors, and fan zones, capturing the cultural moments shaping betting trends.
Interactive elements like prediction challenges and trivia will further engage fans, making betting feel less transactional and more connected to the cultural energy surrounding sports.
