Formula 1 has announced FanDuel as its first-ever Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada, marking a significant expansion of its betting portfolio in North America. The partnership comes ahead of the highly anticipated Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, set to take place this weekend with the race scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. EST.
The collaboration integrates FanDuel‘s odds and real-time insights into Formula 1‘s official platforms, including its Betting Guide, website, and mobile app. This move provides FanDuel‘s 17 million customers in the U.S. and Canada with new ways to engage with the sport, offering customized betting options on race winners, podium finishes, and head-to-head driver matchups.
“We’re delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada. Those are markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula 1,” said Jonny Haworth, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Formula 1. “As sports betting becomes an increasing component with how fans, especially in the US, interact with sport, it’s vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market.”
FanDuel highlights the growing trend of sports betting integration in motorsports, offering fans immersive ways to interact with the sport. Karol Corcoran, Managing Director of FanDuel Sportsbook, emphasized the partnership’s potential to enhance fan engagement: “Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data. Our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans. This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend.”
In addition to the betting partnership, FanFuel announced that sports broadcaster Erin Andrews has been named as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador. “Sports are, and always have been, such a huge part of my life,” Andrews said. “I was impressed that FanDuel speaks openly about Responsible Gaming and emphasizes that gaming tools should be a part of your winning strategy. And of course, FanDuel gives people all the tools and awareness to enjoy sports betting safely from the start. That balance between enjoyment and responsibility in sports betting is something I genuinely believe in.”
The Miami Grand Prix will take place at the temporary Miami International Autodrome, a 5.4 km track with 19 corners built around Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. The event promises to be a thrilling showcase of speed and strategy, with betting opportunities adding another layer of excitement for fans.
