G2E Asia 2026 and Asian IR Expo to welcome over 8,000 visitors in Macau, marking a 33% attendance surge for iGaming’s biggest event

The highly anticipated G2E Asia 2026 and its sister event, the Asian IR Expo, are set to attract over 8,000 visitors when they open their doors in May at The Venetian Macao in Cotai. This marks a significant 33.3% increase from last year’s 6,000 attendees, according to event organizer RX, which revealed the figures during a recent briefing.
The surge in attendance is being driven by growing interest in non-gaming sectors, as attendees shift their focus beyond the casino floor to explore the broader integrated resort experience. Vera Ng, Project Director at RX, noted this trend, emphasizing that the show is evolving to meet the changing needs of industry professionals. Unlike last year, the conference portion of the event will not feature keynote speakers, but the focus remains on delivering high-value content.
Returning for its 17th edition, G2E Asia will take place from 12-14 May, while the Asian IR Expo, which debuted in Macau this year, will run concurrently. Together, the two exhibitions will span over 30,000 square meters and feature more than 150 exhibitors, offering a comprehensive platform for gaming and integrated resort professionals.
A joint three-day conference program will accompany the exhibitions, featuring over 30 sessions and 50 speakers. This year’s theme centers on digital innovation and diversification into non-gaming products, including discussions on artificial intelligence, robotics, and sports-related entertainment. Yip Je Choong, RX’s Senior Vice President Commercial for Asia Pacific, explained that the organizers are committed to staying relevant amid increasing competition in the region. ‘We know there are other events coming up, but we want to ensure that we provide value,’ he stated.
RX’s focus is on enhancing the attendee experience and delivering strong returns on investment, rather than competing directly with other events. The inclusion of both gaming and non-gaming elements ensures the exhibition remains relevant to a wide range of participants, including resort designers and entertainers. With visitor numbers climbing and the exhibition floor expanding, this year’s edition promises to be a landmark event for the industry.
